Planning Manager

Location: Uxbridge

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established residential developer to recruit a Planning Manager for their Uxbridge office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional with strong development insight to step into a central role in shaping and delivering residential-led projects across Greater London and the South East.

About the Role

As Planning Manager, you will take a lead role in managing the planning process across a diverse range of sites, from strategic land and brownfield regeneration to high-density housing schemes. You'll be involved from initial feasibility through to the submission and negotiation of planning applications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage planning applications for residential development schemes

*

Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and internal teams

*

Monitor planning policy and identify development opportunities

*

Prepare planning appraisals and manage pre application engagement

*

Provide advice to the land and development team during acquisition and early stage planning

*

Represent the business at planning committees and public consultations where required

What We're Looking For

*

A degree in Town Planning or a related subject

*

MRTPI status preferred, or working towards chartership

*

Relevant years' experience in planning, ideally with a mix of consultancy or local authority and developer side

*

Strong knowledge of UK planning policy, with a focus on residential development

*

Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills

*

Proactive, commercially aware and confident managing projects independently
