Position: Plant Fitter

Location: Leicester

Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 5pm

Salary: £38,000 - £50,000 – Van + Fuel Card

Overtime paid at 1.5

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Plant Fitter based in Leicester. My client has been established for over 40 years and is a highly respected supplier of small and medium plant equipment across the Midlands, known for their reliability, customer service, and industry expertise.

The Role:

- Service, maintain, and repair a wide range of construction plant equipment primarily at customer sites

- Inspect and diagnose faults on engines, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and tyres

- Dismantle, repair, and replace defective components

- Reassemble machinery and carry out testing to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently

- Arrange transport of machinery to the workshop where on-site repair is not possible

- Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance both on-site and within the workshop

- Complete all work in line with health and safety standards

The Ideal Candidate:

- Previous experience in plant maintenance and repair is essential

- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills

- Good communication and organisational abilities

- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Positive attitude and willingness to develop skills further

- Full UK driving licence required

- CSCS card desirable but not essential
