Plumber – Bishop’s Stortford
Salary: £38,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off days and nights
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join a site-based team in Bishop’s Stortford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable role with a structured 4 on, 4 off days shift pattern and a competitive salary package.
Role Details:
Location: Bishop’s Stortford
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off days and nights
Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive plumbing maintenance
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on a wide range of plumbing systems
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of pipework, valves, taps, and sanitary ware
- Working on hot and cold water systems, including pumps, expansion vessels, and calorifiers
- Identifying and repairing leaks, blockages, and pressure issues
- Carrying out minor installation and upgrade works as required
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety regulations and site procedures
- Completing job reports and maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Supporting other engineers and trades as part of a multi-skilled team
Requirements:
- Relevant plumbing qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a commercial or industrial environment
- Good knowledge of water systems and associated plant
- Ability to fault-find and resolve issues efficiently
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work a 4 on, 4 off days and nights
