Powered Access Engineer Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Powered Access Engineer to join a nationally recognised provider of powered access and plant equipment. This role is ideal for an experienced Powered Access Engineer who enjoys carrying out major repairs, overhauls and complex fault finding on a wide range of powered access machinery within a busy workshop environment.

About the Role – Powered Access Engineer As a Powered Access Engineer, you will be responsible for major repairs, refurbishments and full machine overhauls on powered access equipment returned from hire. The role focuses heavily on diagnostics and complex repairs to ensure equipment is restored to the highest operational and safety standards.

Your duties will include:

- Carrying out major mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs on powered access equipment

- Completing full strip-downs, rebuilds and refurbishments of access platforms

- Diagnosing complex faults and implementing long-term repair solutions

- Conducting PDI inspections following major repairs

- Completing LOLER inspections and ensuring equipment meets safety standards

- Working collaboratively with the engineering team to prioritise workshop repairs

What You’ll Need to Succeed as a Powered Access Engineer

- Previous experience within the Powered Access industry

- Strong experience with major repairs, diagnostics and equipment rebuilds

- Good understanding of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems

- IPAF & CAP licence (essential)

- NVQ qualification or equivalent in Plant Maintenance or similar

- Previous experience as a Powered Access Engineer is highly beneficial
