Primary Classroom Teacher - Sheffield
Are you a dedicated Primary Classroom Teacher with experience in Key Stage 1? Academics are working with supportive primary schools across Sheffield seeking reliable teachers for temporary, flexible supply assignments.
Position: Primary Classroom Teacher (KS1)
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible supply (full-time or part-time)
Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications and school rates, paid via PAYE - no umbrella fees)
Start Date: ASAP or from a preferred future date
About the Role
As a Primary Classroom Teacher within KS1, you will deliver engaging lessons across Year 1 and Year 2, helping young learners develop core skills in reading, writing, numeracy and social interaction. These roles offer flexibility, variety, and the chance to work within positive school environments that value staff wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach an engaging and well-structured KS1 curriculum
* Build a nurturing, encouraging classroom atmosphere
* Differentiate tasks to meet diverse learning needs
* Assess pupil progress in line with KS1 expectations
* Work effectively with TAs and school staff
* Support behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding policies
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Recent experience teaching KS1 (Year 1 and/or Year 2)
* Strong behaviour and classroom management
* Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
