Academics are working closely with a range of warm and welcoming primary schools across Sheffield, offering flexible, temporary, and ongoing opportunities for Early Career Teachers eager to build confidence and gain valuable classroom experience.
Position: Primary ECT
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing placements
Pay: £130 - £190 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or from a start date that suits you
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for Early Career Teachers to develop their practice across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 while being fully supported throughout each placement.
As a Primary ECT in Sheffield, you will deliver engaging lessons, build strong relationships with pupils, and gain hands-on experience in a variety of primary school environments-helping you find the year group and setting that suits you best.
These roles give you the flexibility to explore different schools while receiving tailored support from experienced consultants.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
* Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage active participation
* Create an inclusive, supportive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers, mentors, and support staff
* Participate in professional development opportunities to strengthen your teaching practice
* Track pupil progress and contribute to their academic and emotional development
Candidate Requirements
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✔ Passion for teaching and supporting young learners
✔ Willingness to develop professionally and work with different year groups
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
✔ A positive attitude and flexible approach to new school environments
