Responsibilities

As a Principal Acoustic Consultant, you will:

* Lead and deliver complex, high-profile projects with precision and expertise.

* Provide technical leadership, including acoustic modelling, design, and analysis.

* Oversee quality assurance, ensuring projects meet the highest standards.

* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.

* Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.

* Contribute to the consultancy's strategic growth by engaging with stakeholders and identifying new opportunities.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you'll need:

* 8+ years' experience in acoustic consultancy, with proven leadership capabilities.

* Expertise in building acoustics, sound insulation, and planning support.

* Comprehensive knowledge of BB93, BS8233, and relevant national planning policies.

* A track record of successful project delivery and client management.

* Proficiency in software such as ODEON, CadnaA, or SoundPLAN.

* Chartered status (or working towards it) with the Institute of Acoustics (IOA).

* A full UK driving licence.

Day-to-Day

Your typical day will involve:

* Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to define project goals and deliverables.

* Conducting detailed acoustic modelling and analysis to develop innovative solutions.

* Leading project teams, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.

* Reviewing and approving technical reports and designs.

* Mentoring junior team members, sharing your expertise to help them grow.

* Identifying opportunities for business development and contributing to strategic planning.
