Job Title: Principal Air Quality Consultant
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Principal Air Quality Consultant to join its established team in London. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a leadership role, managing high-profile projects, supporting business development, and mentoring junior consultants, all within a flexible hybrid working model.
As a Principal Air Quality Consultant, you will deliver and oversee air quality impact assessments, dispersion modelling, and regulatory compliance work across sectors including infrastructure, transport, and urban development. You will work closely with clients, regulators, and local authorities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical reports and innovative solutions.

Duties for the role of Principal Air Quality Consultant include:

Leading the delivery of complex air quality consultancy projects
*
Providing technical oversight for dispersion modelling and ES chapters
*
Managing client accounts and contributing to business development
*
Mentoring junior consultants and supporting their progression
*
Building relationships with stakeholders, local authorities, and regulators
*
Supporting the strategic growth of the London team
Skills and experience required for the role of Principal Air Quality Consultant:
*
6+ years of experience in air quality consultancy or regulation
*
Proficiency with ADMS, AERMOD, and IAQM/EPUK guidance
*
Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or related subject
*
Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) or working towards accreditation desirable
*
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
*
Full UK driving licence
