Job Title: Principal Air Quality Consultant
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Principal Air Quality Consultant to join its established team in London. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a strategic and technical leadership role, overseeing high-profile air quality, emissions, and climate impact projects across the UK and internationally.
As a Principal Air Quality Consultant, you will manage a portfolio of complex consultancy projects, lead client relationships, and mentor junior staff. You'll play a key part in business development and technical delivery across transport, infrastructure, and urban development schemes while helping to shape the future direction of the company's air quality division.

Duties for the role of Principal Air Quality Consultant include:
*
Leading technical delivery of complex air quality assessments and modelling projects
*
Managing dispersion modelling (ADMS/AERMOD) and impact assessments
*
Producing and reviewing Environmental Statement chapters and technical reports
*
Building and maintaining client relationships and identifying new business opportunities
*
Mentoring junior consultants and supporting team growth
*
Engaging with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and planning teams
Skills and experience required for the role of Principal Air Quality Consultant:
*
6+ years' experience in air quality consultancy or regulation
*
Strong knowledge of ADMS, AERMOD, LAQM, and IAQM/EPUK guidance
*
Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline
*
Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) desirable
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
*
Full UK driving licence
