Job Title: Principal Air Quality Consultant

Location: London

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Excellent Benefits

An established environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Principal Air Quality Consultant to join its growing London team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a key leadership role, driving forward major air quality, emissions, and climate impact projects both in the UK and overseas.

As Principal Consultant, you'll take responsibility for delivering complex technical projects, managing client portfolios, and guiding a talented team of consultants. You'll be instrumental in business growth and technical excellence across transport, infrastructure, and urban development sectors, while helping to define the future direction of the air quality division.

Key Responsibilities

*

Lead the technical delivery of air quality and emissions modelling projects

*

Manage dispersion modelling using ADMS and AERMOD software

*

Prepare and review technical documentation, including Environmental Statement chapters

*

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities for growth

*

Mentor and support junior members of the air quality team

*

Liaise with local authorities, regulators, and planning consultants

Essential Skills & Experience

*

Minimum 6 years' experience in air quality consultancy or a regulatory setting

*

In-depth understanding of ADMS, AERMOD, LAQM, and IAQM/EPUK methodologies

*

Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field

*

Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) preferred but not essential

*

Strong leadership, communication, and project management abilities

*

Full UK driving licence
