Job Title: Principal Air Quality Consultant
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Principal Air Quality Consultant to join its growing London team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a senior technical and strategic role, managing large-scale air quality projects and supporting the continued expansion of the consultancy's UK operations.
As a Principal Air Quality Consultant, you will lead the delivery of complex assessments, provide expert guidance to clients, and mentor junior colleagues within a supportive, collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to shape the direction of major projects in sectors such as infrastructure, urban development, transport, and energy while maintaining a flexible hybrid working model.

Duties for the role of Principal Air Quality Consultant include:
*
Leading delivery of air quality consultancy and emissions modelling projects
*
Managing client relationships and contributing to business development
*
Overseeing dispersion modelling (ADMS, AERMOD) and technical reviews
*
Producing and signing off Environmental Statement chapters and reports
*
Supporting mentoring and development of junior team members
*
Representing the consultancy at meetings with clients, regulators, and planning authorities
Skills and experience required for the role of Principal Air Quality Consultant:
*
6+ years' experience in air quality consultancy or regulation
*
Strong knowledge of IAQM/EPUK guidance and relevant regulatory frameworks
*
Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or related field
*
Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) desirable
*
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
*
Full UK driving licence
