Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Salary: £38,000 - £48,000
Are you a geotechnical engineer looking for the next step in your career? This specialist griund investigation consultancy based near Newcastle is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. You'll be provided with the resources and support to develop new skills, work on a variety of Ground Investigation and contribute to the business development of this innovative team.
Responsibilities of the Principal Geotechnical Engineer role:
* Overseeing site and report work.
* Carrying out retaining wall, foundation design and slope stability design.
* Writing and reviewing factual and interpretive reports.
* Managing projects and contracts.
* Communicating with clients.
* Contributing to bidding and tendering
* Developing and leading a team.
The Principal Geotechnical Engineer selected must have:
* Extensive experience working in the geotechnical industry and an understanding of geo-environmental schemes relating to contaminated land.
* A degree in geology, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering or a similar, relevant subject.
* Hold a valid UK Driving licence.
* Commutable to Newcastle and the surrounding area.
* Have a full right to work in the UK.
The successful Principal Geotechnical Engineer will receive:
* A competitive salary (£38,000 - £48,000).
