Principal Sustainability Consultant
South West - Cardiff
We are excited to be representing a leading engineering consultancy recognised for delivering intelligent, sustainable, and people-focused solutions across the built environment. They are looking to appoint an innovative and driven Principal Sustainability Consultant to join their thriving Sustainability discipline in Cardiff.

Duties of a Principle Sustainability Consultant:
* Lead sustainability workstreams and act as Discipline Project Lead.
* Develop and coordinate project resource plans.
* Deliver sustainability documents for planning applications.
* Lead client and design team workshops with clarity and confidence.
* Delegate, manage, and review the work of junior colleagues.
* Undertake or oversee:
* Part L, Part O, overheating and energy simulations
* Environmental and wellbeing assessments (BREEAM, WELL, HQM)
* Whole life carbon assessments
* Net zero carbon strategies
* Operational energy analysis
* Support Technical Excellence communities and contribute to knowledge development.
* Mentor and train junior team members across technical, consultancy, and project delivery skills.
Requirements of a Principle Sustainability Consultant:
* Advanced building performance simulation (Part L, Part O, thermal comfort).
* Leadership of sustainability workstreams and project teams.
* Training and mentoring experience.
* Delivery of environmental and wellbeing assessments.
* Whole life carbon assessment (ideally using OneClick LCA).
* Experience supporting successful planning applications, with Cardiff and London market experience advantageous.
