Principal Acoustic Consultant - London - £65,000 to £80,000 + Benefits

A highly regarded UK-based Acoustic and Environmental Consultancy is looking to recruit a Principal Acoustic Consultant to join their thriving team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced consultant to take the lead on technically complex and high-profile projects while playing a strategic role in developing the company's presence in the capital.

Essential Requirements:

*

A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in acoustic consultancy.

*

Expertise in either building acoustics, environmental acoustics, or both.

*

Strong project leadership and client relationship management skills.

*

Proven ability to deliver technically robust assessments across various sectors.

*

A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience:

*

Chartered status (e.g., MIOA, CEng) or working toward it.

*

Experience in mentoring and developing junior consultants.

*

Familiarity with industry-standard modelling and measurement tools (CadnaA, SoundPLAN, Odeon, CATT, etc.).

*

Involvement in business development or sector-specific strategy.

The Role:

As a Principal Acoustic Consultant, you will lead the delivery of high-value acoustic assessments, guide the direction of key projects, and support team development in the London office. You'll work closely with a wide range of clients across infrastructure, planning, architecture, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading projects from proposal to delivery with technical and commercial oversight.

*

Representing the company in client meetings, design workshops, and industry events.

*

Reviewing technical reports, models, and assessments for quality assurance.

*

Supporting the development of junior staff through mentoring and leadership.

*

Contributing to strategic growth and expanding the London project portfolio.
