Print Machine Technician | Weymouth | £32,500

A Weymouth based Printer are looking to add to their team of skilled technicians. Owing to the rarity of the skills required we'd be keen to talk with individuals familiar with machine set up and related duties.

You'll be joining a team where precision and quality matter, and where your contribution keeps production running smoothly. This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art printing technology, develop your expertise, and enjoy a role that offers variety and responsibility.

The successful applicant will join the late shift, which involves working 39.5 hours over a 4 day week (Sunday start). The hours start after lunch but finish early enough that you'll get to enjoy day light in the dark winter months.

As a Print Machine Technician, your responsibilities will include:

* Preparing the press for printing, including web-up and plate fitting

* Operating the press and monitoring print quality (inking density, registration)

* Loading and operating reel equipment and managing paper usage data

* Performing press cleaning and scheduled maintenance tasks

* Maintaining accurate production records and minimising wastage

As a Print Machine Technician, your experience will include:

* Previous experience in printing or mechanical operations (sheet-fed or web-offset lithographic presses advantageous)

* Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

* Ability to work flexibly to meet production schedules

* Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

* Reasonable level of physical fitness for manual tasks
