Impact Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to join a specialist manufacturing business. This is a pivotal role responsible for coordinating and scheduling production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Location: Wellingborough

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Contract: Permanent

The Role:

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing operations in a make-to-order environment, ensuring effective use of labour, materials, and equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

* Developing and maintaining detailed production schedules

* Planning output based on customer orders and project timelines

* Coordinating raw material requirements with supply chain teams

* Sequencing production to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime

* Monitoring production progress and adjusting schedules where necessary

* Maintaining accurate BOMs, routings, and lead times within ERP/MRP systems

* Tracking KPIs such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory levels

* Collaborating closely with operations, engineering, quality, and sales teams

* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across planning and production

The Ideal Candidate:

* Previous experience in a Production Planner or Scheduling role within manufacturing

* Strong understanding of make-to-order or project-based environments

* Experience using ERP/MRP systems

* Advanced Excel skills

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

* Excellent organisational and communication skills

* Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities
