Production Supervisor | Dorchester | £32,000 per annum
About the Role
Our client, a well-established manufacturer, is seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor to join their production team on a permanent basis.
This is a key role where the successful candidate will lead and inspire a team of operators to produce high-quality products while meeting productivity and cost-efficiency targets.
Responsibilities
The Production Supervisor, will be responsible for:
* Leading and motivating a team of flexible operators to produce high-quality products in line with agreed quality, productivity and cost targets
* Collaborating with managers to develop and implement SHE (Safety, health and environment) policies to ensure a safe and accident-free working environment
* Ensuring that the plant operates at maximum efficiency, maintaining target cycle times and ensuring the work area remains clean and safe at all times
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across safety, product quality, productivity and cost
* Building positive relationships with the manufacturing teams to ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience within the manufacturing sector and in leadership roles
* A strong understanding of Health & Safety policies
* Excellent timekeeping skills
* A commitment to quality and delivering exceptional customer service
* A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
