The successful Cross-Curricular PRU Teacher will play a vital role in delivering a varied curriculum that re-engages learners and supports both academic and emotional development.

About the Role:

This full-time, long-term role is based at a supportive Pupil Referral Unit in Tamworth that caters for students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will be delivering a cross-curricular timetable that includes core subjects like English and Maths, alongside personal development and vocational learning. Working as part of a close-knit team, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students' lives through creative, flexible teaching and relationship-building.

You will be supported by a dedicated team of pastoral and behaviour staff, and will be expected to maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour. This is an ideal role for a teacher who thrives in a dynamic environment and is confident in delivering multiple subjects at KS3 and KS4 level.

Responsibilities:

* Deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects including English, Maths, PSHE, and vocational topics

* Adapt planning and delivery to meet the individual needs of students

* Work closely with the PRU team, including pastoral and behaviour specialists

* Promote positive learning experiences and help build student confidence

* Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning

Requirements:

* QTS/QTLS or relevant teaching qualification

* Experience working in PRUs or with students with SEMH/behavioural needs is highly desirable

* Confident delivering multiple subjects at KS3/KS4 level

* Resilient, calm under pressure, and able to build rapport quickly

* Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Academics)
