Are you a Psychology graduate looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and exploring a career in education, therapy, or psychology?

We're working with a welcoming and forward-thinking Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Bristol that is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

The Role

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils aged 5-18 who have a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges, and communication difficulties.

You'll support students in the classroom, help implement individual education plans, and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities

* Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with diverse learning needs

* Assisting teachers with classroom activities and behaviour support strategies

* Helping pupils build confidence, emotional resilience, and independence

* Observing and reporting progress to teachers and SENCOs

* Creating engaging, sensory-friendly learning experiences

Ideal Candidate

* A recent Psychology graduate (or related field) with a genuine interest in SEN

* Empathetic, patient, and able to build strong relationships with young people

* Looking to gain practical experience before pursuing further training in educational psychology, speech and language therapy, counselling, or teaching

* Some experience with children or young people (voluntary or paid) is desirable but not essential - the right attitude and passion matter most!

* The opportunity to work within a highly supportive SEN team

* Experience that's perfect for postgraduate pathways in psychology or education

* Competitive daily rate and long-term opportunities
