Qualified EYFS or KS1 Teacher - 1:1 Home Tuition

Location: Berkshire - in the child's home

Start date: September 2026

Duration: Full academic year

Hours: 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Working pattern: 2 hours per day

Quantum Scholars are looking for a caring, patient and experienced qualified EYFS or KS1 Teacher to provide 1:1 support for a non-verbal child with very complex needs.

This role is based in Berkshire and will involve working with the child in their home for 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday. The successful teacher will need to provide a calm, nurturing and highly personalised approach, supporting the child's engagement, communication, confidence and early learning.

This role would suit a qualified teacher with EYFS or KS1 experience who is confident adapting learning to meet individual needs. Experience working with children with complex needs, communication difficulties, SEND, or children who are non-verbal would be highly beneficial.

The role will involve:

* Providing 1:1 support for a non-verbal child in a home setting

* Planning and delivering highly personalised EYFS or KS1 learning activities

* Using a gentle, flexible and child-centred approach

* Supporting communication, engagement and emotional regulation

* Adapting sessions to suit the child's needs, responses and readiness to learn

* Building a positive and trusting relationship with the child

* Working professionally with parents/carers and relevant professionals

* Keeping brief records of session content, engagement and progress

Essential requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status, with EYFS and/or KS1 teaching experience

* Experience supporting children with SEND, complex needs or communication difficulties

* A calm, patient, nurturing and flexible approach

* The ability to adapt learning to meet the needs of a non-verbal child

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* A clear commitment to safeguarding and supporting positive outcomes for children

* The legal right to work in the UK

Applicants must be qualified teachers and must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applicants who do not meet these requirements.

Applicants must also have, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS certificate and be able to provide suitable references.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, personalised support for a child who requires a calm, understanding and highly individualised approach to learning.

To apply, please send your CV to Quantum Scholars or contact us for more information.
