Academics in Canterbury are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teachers to work in early years classrooms across a range of lovely schools in areas including Canterbury, Thanet, Dover, Whitstable/Herne Bay, Folkestone/Hythe, and surrounding villages. Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

* Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported

* Observe, assess, and record children's progress to inform future planning and teaching

* Support children's personal, social, emotional, and language development

* Build strong relationships with teaching assistants, parents/carers, and colleagues

* Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school's values and ethos

* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including outdoor learning, celebrations, and events

What We Are Looking For:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Early Years, ideally Reception

* A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development

* Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early learning approaches

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach

* Flexibility to work across different schools and settings

* Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to child welfare

* Right to work in the UK
