About the Business

An established and rapidly growing specialist retail business is looking to appoint a Retail Fit Out Project Manager to support its continued expansion across the UK.

The business operates a successful online platform alongside a growing portfolio of physical stores and concessions. This is a key appointment within the property function, with responsibility for managing new store openings, refurbishments, fit outs and ongoing maintenance requirements.

The Role

The Retail Fit Out Project Manager will oversee projects from the initial planning stage through to completion and opening. You will coordinate internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and external specialists to ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning

* Manage the full store fit out process, including planning, design, costing, construction and opening

* Support discussions relating to new stores, renovations and refurbishment projects

* Assist with the selection of new locations, initial unit inspections and site meetings

* Develop realistic project timelines and ensure fixed opening dates are achieved

Project Delivery

* Manage tendering processes, quotations and project timelines for stakeholder review

* Coordinate third party suppliers, including designers, contractors, joinery partners and relevant authorities

* Attend site visits, supplier meetings and workshop inspections as required

* Maintain accurate project dashboards, CapEx trackers and supporting documentation

* Provide regular project updates to senior leadership

* Manage snagging processes and coordinate remedial work with suppliers

* Review completed projects to identify improvements, efficiencies and best practice

* Maintain project records, including fixture drawings, layouts and technical plans

Budgeting and Cost Control

* Prepare financial forecasts, return on investment assessments and CapEx projections for each project

* Monitor project costs and identify potential overspend risks

* Track project payments and ensure invoices are collected, organised and processed correctly

* Support departmental budgeting and cost tracking

Store Maintenance

* Oversee maintenance requirements across the existing store estate

* Work closely with facilities and retail teams to coordinate repairs and planned maintenance

* Maintain a central database of store requirements

* Manage new orders from placement through to delivery

* Ensure stores remain functional, presentable and aligned with brand standards

Candidate Requirements

* At least five years of experience within retail, hospitality, food and beverage or a related customer facing environment

* Proven experience delivering fit out projects across Europe is essential

* Strong understanding of project budgets, CapEx forecasting and cost control

* Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders

* Ability to manage multiple projects while working to fixed deadlines

* Strong communication, organisation and reporting skills

* Comfortable travelling regularly to sites across the UK

* Proactive, commercially minded and capable of taking ownership of projects from concept through to completion
