About the Role
We are seeking a committed and professional School Administrator to join our friendly primary school team in Barnet this September. As a central member of the office staff, you will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the school office.
Your role will be varied and rewarding, from handling enquiries and maintaining pupil records to supporting key administrative processes and school events. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a supportive and inclusive school community.
Please note that this position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily front office operations, including telephone, email, and visitor enquiries
* Maintain accurate pupil records, admissions data, and attendance registers
* Support internal and external communications, including newsletters and correspondence
* Assist in organising school events, meetings, and key activities throughout the year
* Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure efficient school operations
* Support financial and administrative processes as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Previous experience in school administration or a similar office-based role (preferred)
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and school management systems (training provided if necessary)
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy school environment
* A warm, professional manner with a positive, 'can-do' attitude
