Science Teacher - PRU (Erdington)
Full-Time | Immediate Start
Academics are currently recruiting for a strong and resilient Science Teacher to work full-time in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Erdington, starting immediately. This is a rewarding but challenging role, ideal for a teacher who is confident in managing behaviour and committed to supporting vulnerable learners to achieve positive outcomes.
The Role:

Teaching Combined Science to Year 10 and Year 11
*
Full-time position, Monday to Friday
*
Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH and behavioural needs
*
Supporting pupils working towards GCSE qualifications
*
Creating a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
*
Be a qualified Science Teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred)
*
Have experience teaching KS4 Science, particularly Combined Science
*
Be confident working with challenging behaviour
*
Have experience in a PRU, alternative provision, SEMH, or similar setting (desirable but not essential)
*
Be resilient, patient, and adaptable
*
Be able to start immediately
