About the Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils who may experience barriers to learning due to emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, behavioural needs, or social challenges. You will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, supported, and engaged within school.

You may support pupils with:

* SEMH needs

* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

* ADHD

* Anxiety and low self-esteem

* Attachment and trauma-related needs

* Behavioural challenges impacting learning and relationships

Key Responsibilities

* Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities

* Building positive and trusting relationships with students

* Encouraging emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

* Providing 1:1 and small group support

* Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience, and social skills

* Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams

* Promoting a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
