A supportive and welcoming primary school in Aylesbury is looking to appoint a SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This full-time, long-term role involves working 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil who presents with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role:

Position: SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant

Location: Aylesbury

Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Focus: 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Collaboration: Work closely with the Inclusion Manager

Training: Access to CPD and professional development opportunities

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills

A positive, empathetic, and patient approach
