Are you seeking a rewarding new role starting September 2026?

Role Overview

* Start Date: September 2026

* Applications Close: August 2026

* Salary: £38,000 - £58,000 (Inner London Pay Scale) - QTS Required

* Location: Borough of Lambeth

* Position: SEN Teacher - SEN Secondary School (KS3-KS5)

* Class Size: 8-9 pupils with 2-3 teaching assistants per class

* Development: Excellent training, CPD opportunities & clear career progression

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a well-established SEN school in Lambeth. The school caters for pupils across KS3, KS4 and KS5, all with autism (ASD) and associated learning difficulties, working at approximately Year 1-3 academic levels.

A primary-trained teacher would be highly suited to this role, as staff teach across the curriculum. You will deliver group-based learning across core subjects including English, Maths, Science, and PSHE, adapting content to meet a wide range of needs.

You will lead a SEN class supported by 2-3 experienced teaching assistants, within a highly structured and nurturing environment. Some KS5 learners are also supported to access Functional Skills qualifications, with a strong emphasis on independence and preparation for adulthood.

Key Responsibilities

* Take the lead in supporting pupils with ASD and learning difficulties through targeted interventions and personalised strategies

* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in English, Maths, Science, and PSHE at Year 1-3 levels

* Facilitate group-based learning, adapting teaching approaches to suit varying abilities and communication needs

* Support learners in developing communication, social, and independence skills

* Prepare and support KS5 pupils in Functional Skills and life skills development

* Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic support

* Promote both academic progress and personal development for each pupil

* Contribute to the inclusive, child-centred ethos of the school

If you are passionate about SEN teaching and ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
