SEN Teaching Assistant - Milton Keynes
£99-£110 per day | Temp to Perm | Full-Time | ASAP / September Start

A welcoming and supportive specialist primary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. The school caters for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), speech and language needs, and other developmental challenges. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop independence, and build confidence within a nurturing environment.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings.
* Assist children with Autism, SLD, and communication difficulties to access learning.
* Encourage the development of social, emotional, and communication skills.
* Implement tailored support strategies alongside teachers and therapists.
* Promote independence and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
* Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who have:
* Experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
* A background in education, care, support work, youth work, or similar settings.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
* A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
