Are you a skilled and compassionate SENCO ready to lead inclusive practice in a warm and community-focused primary school? Situated in the heart of Wallingford, our welcoming school is seeking a dedicated professional to take on the vital role of SENCO for four days a week, starting in September 2025.

About the School:

We are a values-driven, one-form-entry primary school with a strong reputation for pastoral care, inclusive education, and high expectations. Our pupils are curious, kind, and full of potential-and our staff are committed to supporting every child to thrive.

As SENCO, you will play a key leadership role in shaping provision for pupils with a range of additional needs, ensuring they have the best possible support and opportunities to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead on the strategic development of SEND provision across the school.

* Work alongside teachers to ensure inclusive, high-quality teaching in every classroom.

* Coordinate assessments, support plans, interventions, and EHCP processes.

* Build strong partnerships with families and external agencies.

* Monitor, evaluate, and report on SEND progress and provision.

We are looking for someone who:

* Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (or is currently working towards it).

* Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent teaching experience in a primary setting.

* Understands the SEND Code of Practice and how it translates into effective school support.

* Can build strong relationships with pupils, families, staff, and professionals.

* Has excellent organisational and communication skills.

What We Offer:

* A friendly, inclusive school environment with dedicated and supportive colleagues.

* Leadership that values your voice and champions SEND inclusion.

* Ongoing CPD and opportunities for professional growth.

* A meaningful part-time role with real impact, set in the vibrant town of Wallingford with easy access to Oxford and surrounding areas.
