SEND Tutors Required (EOTAS / Alternative Provision - Wokingham Area)

We are looking to engage qualified teachers and experienced tutors to deliver bespoke 1:1 and small group tuition to pupils across Wokingham and surrounding areas.

This provision supports young people who are currently outside of mainstream education, including pupils accessing EOTAS (Education Other Than At School) arrangements, as well as students requiring additional support due to SEND and/or SEMH needs.

Tuition may be delivered in person, online, or through a hybrid approach, depending on the individual assignment and learner needs.

There is currently a high level of immediate demand for tutors across the area, with ongoing referrals from local authorities and schools.

⚠️ You must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for tutors looking to work more flexibly while providing meaningful, personalised support outside of the traditional classroom environment.

Assignments may involve:

* Delivering tuition across core subjects (English, Maths, Science)

* Supporting pupils from KS1 through to KS5

* Working with learners presenting with SEND, SEMH, and additional needs

* Delivering sessions within homes, schools, community venues, or online

Many assignments can offer up to 5 days per week (approx. 3 hours per day).

We are currently supporting a growing number of EOTAS referrals within Wokingham, with strong demand expected throughout the remainder of the academic year and significant additional tuition requirements anticipated from September onwards and beyond.

Student Profile

You may support learners presenting with:

* SEMH, anxiety, or school avoidance

* Autism (ASC), ADHD

* MLD, SLD, or PMLD

A calm, adaptable and relationship-focused approach is essential.

What We're Looking For

* QTS / QTLS or strong relevant tutoring experience

* Experience working with SEND, EOTAS, or alternative provision learners

* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

* Two professional references

* Strong safeguarding understanding

* Ability to travel locally within Wokingham

What This Opportunity Offers

* Flexible assignments to suit your availability

* Opportunity to provide more personalised and impactful support

* Ongoing referrals and long-term tutoring opportunities

* Competitive rates, dependent on experience
