Job Title: Senior Acoustic Consultant
Location: Bristol

A respected consultancy known for its strengths in acoustic design and sustainable solutions is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join their Bristol team. Main Responsibilities
*
Take the lead on acoustic projects across sectors including education, healthcare, residential, commercial and performance spaces.
*
Offer specialist technical advice and ensure designs align with current standards and guidance.
*
Clearly convey detailed acoustic principles to clients and multidisciplinary teams.
*
Carry out on-site assessments and sound insulation testing.
*
Use modelling and design tools such as CATT, Odeon, INSUL, Cadna/A and Revit.
*
Contribute to the development of new workflows, tools and approaches to enhance project delivery.
*
Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues.
What We're Looking For
*
Solid understanding of building acoustics and the relevant regulations.
*
Experience managing projects across varied sectors.
*
Confident communicator with strong client-facing ability.
*
Hands-on experience with site work and sound insulation testing.
*
Familiarity or interest in acoustic/environmental modelling software.
*
A collaborative approach and a passion for sustainable, thoughtful design.
Typical Day
*
Working closely with architects, engineers and clients to shape acoustic strategies.
*
Visiting sites to carry out assessments and performance checks.
*
Running acoustic simulations and producing models.
*
Creating detailed reports and supporting design documentation.
*
Contributing ideas, mentoring junior staff and encouraging innovation.
*
Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
