Job Title: Senior Acoustic Consultant
Location: Bristol

A well-established consultancy with a strong reputation in acoustic design and sustainable engineering is looking to add a Senior Acoustic Consultant to its Bristol office. Key Responsibilities
*
Lead acoustic design work across sectors such as education, healthcare, residential, commercial and performance venues.
*
Provide expert technical guidance and ensure all designs comply with current standards and best practice.
*
Communicate complex acoustic concepts clearly to clients and multidisciplinary teams.
*
Conduct site visits, assessments and sound insulation testing.
*
Work with modelling tools including CATT, Odeon, INSUL, Cadna/A and Revit.
*
Support the development of new methods, tools and workflows to improve delivery.
*
Mentor and guide junior team members.
What You'll Bring

Strong knowledge of building acoustics and relevant regulations.
*
A background in managing projects across a range of sectors.
*
Confident communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
*
Practical experience in site-based work and sound insulation testing.
*
Understanding of - or interest in - acoustic and environmental modelling software.
*
A collaborative attitude and enthusiasm for sustainable, well-considered design.
A Typical Day Might Include
*
Partnering with architects, engineers and clients to develop effective acoustic strategies.
*
Visiting sites to carry out assessments and performance checks.
*
Running simulations and preparing acoustic models.
*
Producing technical reports and supporting design documentation.
*
Sharing ideas, supporting junior colleagues and encouraging innovation.
*
Maintaining strong, ongoing client relationships.
