Senior Architectural Technician
Location: Bedford
Salary: £40-45,000
A well respected, multidisciplinary architectural practice in Bedford is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join its expanding team. The practice has an excellent reputation for delivering thoughtfully designed, high quality projects across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed use developments. Key Responsibilities
* Prepare comprehensive technical drawings and construction packages from initial design stages through to project completion
* Assist with the preparation of planning applications and Building Regulations documentation
* Work closely with external consultants, contractors, and internal design teams to support smooth project coordination
* Attend site visits and provide technical support throughout the construction process
* Ensure all drawings and documentation meet current UK Building Regulations and industry standards
* Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to junior members of the technical team
* Support internal quality assurance procedures and maintain well organised project information
Skills and Experience
* Qualification in Architectural Technology or a similar construction related discipline
* Solid background in producing technical information within a UK based architectural environment
* Competent user of Revit and AutoCAD, with experience of BIM processes being an advantage
* Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction methods, and technical detailing
* Previous involvement in residential and or commercial sector projects
* Clear and confident communication skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage workloads independently while working effectively as part of a team environment
