Senior Associate Master Planner

Salary: £50-55,000 DOE

A leading design and planning consultancy is seeking a Senior Associate Master Planner to join its Yorkshire team. This senior role is ideal for an experienced urban designer with a proven ability to deliver design-led spatial strategies across a range of project types, including new settlements, urban extensions, and regeneration schemes. The successful candidate will lead design teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to the strategic growth of the practice.

Daily Duties

* Lead the design and delivery of master planning and urban design projects

* Manage and coordinate internal teams and external consultants

* Produce high-quality planning and design documents, including visual documents, design and access statements, design codes, feasibility studies and urban design frameworks

* Attend site visits, lead workshops, and represent the company at client and stakeholder meetings

* Liaise with planners to ensure alignment with local and national policy

* Support marketing and business development initiatives, including content for social media and bids

* Contribute to internal innovation, training and mentoring junior staff

Ideal Candidate

* Substantial years of experience in urban design or master planning

* Educated to degree level in Architecture, Urban Design, Planning or a related field

* A strong portfolio of master planning work at a range of scales

* Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects

* Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

* Capable of producing compelling design documents and presentation materials

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to work proactively, manage time effectively and meet deadlines

* A full UK driving licence and access to a car
