This is a rare opportunity to join my client, a fast-growing, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy, currently in the process of establishing themselves as an industry-leading team of design experts in the Water and wider Civil Engineering sectors. They are actively seeking a talented, passionate Senior Civil Engineer with demonstrable knowledge of drainage and non-infrastructure design who is willing and able to lead a team through their delivery of an array of challenging projects. You will be responsible for leading a bright new team of design engineers, based in the iconic, multicultural Capital City of London.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
* Delivering on a broad range of design projects and developments
* Leading a team of Civil Engineering professionals, providing mentorship and guidance as they develop within the company
* Overseeing a variety of aspects of engineering projects, delivering them to the highest of standards within agreed budgets and timescales
* Leading the delivery of a number of residential, commercial, and industrial projects
* Building and maintaining important professional relations with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
* Preparing and checking reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and other technical documents
* Enforcing company policies and procedures, ensuring all colleagues consistently adhere to best practice
* Upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
* Delivering business development strategies, acting as a trusted company representative
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
* A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a similar, relevant discipline
* Possess Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised Professional Body, or proactively working to attain this
* Extensive experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK-based consultancy setting
* Demonstrable experience of working with water-based projects
* Experience of detailed civil engineering design, particularly drainage systems and strategies
* Proficient in the use of various software packages (including Revit, AutoCAD, etc.)
* Considerable experience of preparing reports and other technical documents
* Prior experience of leading projects and/or teams
* Experience of managing client and stakeholder relations
* Good organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
- A UK Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or Hydrology (or a cognate discipline)
- Specific experience of working with non-infrastructure projects (such as reservoirs, pumping stations, etc.)
- Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
- Experience of Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS)
- Experience of working in a public-facing role
