My client, an innovative, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy, is currently searching for a Senior Drainage Engineer to join their experienced team of design engineers, based near the diverse, multi-cultural city of Wolverhampton.
Essential Criteria:
* A Degree in Hydrology, Geotechnics, or a related geoscience field
* Extensive consultancy-based experience
* Hold Chartered Engineer status (or actively working toward attaining this)
* Evidence of having won proposals and projects
* Demonstrable experience of producing and reviewing technical reports
* Experience of managing projects and teams, delivering a range of successful projects
* Hold a valid UK driving licence, with a willingness to travel to sites as and when required
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Senior Drainage Engineer to possess the following:
* A postgraduate qualification in geosciences (or other relevant discipline)
* A forward-thinking mindset, remaining flexible and adaptable across a range of projects
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience of managing stakeholder relations
In the varied role of Senior Drainage Engineer, you will join a dedicated team of technical specialists, with a view to developing your career and progressing within the company. The role will involve a number of exciting responsibilities, including:
* Lead business development strategies, overseeing the acquisition of sites, developing flood mitigation strategies, and supporting planning applications
* Provide technical leadership, delivering projects to the highest of standards
* Oversee authorship of Flood Risk Assessments and flood investigation reports
* Support the development of Sustainable Drainage Strategies (SuDS), demonstrating technical excellence in report writing
* Providing mentorship and guidance to junior consultants
* Work with the team to develop and implement sustainable solutions
* Develop and maintain excellent customer relations with a range of stakeholders across the public and private sectors
