A highly regarded independent ecological consultancy is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join its growing team in Bristol. This well-established business has an excellent reputation for delivering pragmatic, science-led ecological advice and works across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, infrastructure and conservation projects.

The successful Senior Ecologist will manage ecological projects from inception through to completion, undertake and oversee surveys, produce high-quality technical reports, support clients through planning requirements, and mentor junior team members. This Senior Ecologist position offers the opportunity to take on greater responsibility within a collaborative and supportive environment where professional development is actively encouraged.

Requirements:

* Experience working as a Senior Ecologist or experienced Ecologist within a UK consultancy environment

* Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology or a related discipline

* Strong project management and client-facing experience

* Excellent report writing and communication skills

* Ability to oversee surveys and manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Full UK driving licence

* Full right to work in the UK

* Must live within a commutable distance of the Bristol office

* Membership of CIEEM desirable

* Protected species licences and experience mentoring junior staff would be advantageous
