Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant

Manchester

£40,000 - £50,000

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy in Manchester. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of brownfield redevelopment, contaminated land and ground investigation projects across the North West and throughout the UK.

The successful candidate will join a growing and collaborative geo team with a strong project pipeline spanning residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure developments. This position offers excellent career progression, project ownership and the opportunity to mentor junior staff within a supportive environment.

The Role

* Managing and delivering geoenvironmental and contaminated land projects from tender stage through to completion

* Designing and supervising ground investigations

* Producing Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Ground Investigation Reports and Remediation Strategies

* Conducting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments

* Liaising with clients, contractors and regulators

* Managing project budgets and timelines

* Mentoring and supporting junior consultants and graduates

* Assisting with business development and client relationship management

Requirements

* Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject

* Previous consultancy experience within contaminated land and geoenvironmental engineering

* Strong reporting and project management skills

* Experience supervising site investigations and contractors

* Good understanding of current UK contaminated land guidance and legislation

* Full UK driving licence

* Chartered status or working towards chartership would be advantageous
