Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Location: Warrington

£40,000 - £45,000

We are working with a well-established and growing ground engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for their Warrington office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded team delivering complex and technically challenging projects across the UK.

The role offers a strong mix of technical delivery, project management, and client-facing responsibility. You'll be working across a diverse portfolio including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and energy projects, providing geotechnical input from initial site investigation through to detailed design.

As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in mentoring junior engineers, reviewing technical work, and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to business development and help strengthen existing client relationships.

We are looking for someone with a solid consultancy background, strong interpretive and design experience, and the confidence to take ownership of projects. Experience in areas such as foundation design, slope stability, earthworks, and ground investigation is essential.

Key requirements:

* Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Geology

* Strong experience within a geotechnical consultancy environment

* Proven ability to manage projects and liaise with clients

* Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff

* Working towards or already Chartered (ICE or equivalent preferred)

* Full UK driving licence

In return, you'll be joining a forward-thinking consultancy with a strong pipeline of work, clear progression opportunities, and a supportive, collaborative team environment. The role offers the chance to take on real responsibility and play a key part in the continued growth of the Warrington office.
