We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Planner to join their collaborative and ambitious team. Responsibilities

As a Senior Planner, you will play a pivotal role in the consultancy's success by:

* Preparing, submitting, and managing planning applications and supporting documents.

* Leading client communications and managing projects from inception to completion.

* Providing expert planning advice across a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

* Representing clients at planning committee meetings, consultations, and public inquiries.

* Contributing to business development activities and fostering strong client relationships.

* Mentoring and supporting junior team members to help them achieve their professional goals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* MRTPI Chartered status or to be actively working towards chartership.

* Previous experience in a private consultancy or a similar professional environment.

* A strong understanding of planning legislation, as well as national and local planning policies.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.

* A proactive, commercially aware mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.

* A full UK driving licence or the willingness to travel as required.

Day-to-Day

Your typical day as a Senior Planner will involve:

* Managing a diverse portfolio of planning projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

* Engaging with clients to provide tailored planning advice and updates on project progress.

* Preparing detailed planning applications, reports, and supporting documentation.
