We are actively recruiting for a job opportunity with a successful, long standing, accountancy firm based in Hinckley, Leicestershire. The firm are looking to hire a Senior Tax Professional but will consider Semi-Senior level applicants. The salary is negotiable and will of course depend on experience and qualification level and is open within reason. The firm have emphasised that they can craft the job to suit the successful candidate, so the level and exact duties can be made to fit your ability and ambitions. The successful candidate will need to be confident, independent, and self-sufficient, with the ability to manage their own workload, communicate directly with clients and progress personal tax compliance matters with minimal day-to-day supervision. The role will manage a varied personal tax compliance portfolio, support clients through the self-assessment cycle, and assist Tax Directors with compliance linked to advisory and planning projects. Responsibilities: Manage the practice self-assessment process, including information requests and follow-up, tax return preparation and HMRC submission, and client liability and payment-on-account notifications.Manage a personal tax portfolio covering individual, partnership, trust and estate self-assessment returns.Prepare 60-day Capital Gains Tax returns and related client correspondence.Manage the P11D process, including preparation, benefit and expense information, and timely HMRC submission.Support Tax Directors with compliance linked to planning and advisory work, including Trust Registration Service submissions, holdover relief elections and inheritance tax returns.Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day tax compliance matters.Work closely with Tax Directors, Payroll Senior Associate and wider colleagues to coordinate workflow, share client knowledge, meet deadlines and deliver joined up client service.Help maintain and improve processes so deadlines, client communications and HMRC submissions are managed efficiently and consistently.Benefits: Competitive salary in-line with market rate30 days annual leave including Bank HolidaysHybrid working after 6-month probation period up to 2 days a week from homePension: Auto-enrolment pension scheme with matched employer contributions of up to 5%Health cash plan: Company-funded membership for the employee and up to four children (under age 24)Group life assurance: Four times annual salaryDiscretionary bonus schemeModern first-floor offices with parking availableFlexible core hours policy, allowing flexibility around start and finish timesThe firm are seeking a full-time employee, although they may consider applications from candidates looking to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
