Key responsibilities of the Senior Teaching Assistant role include:

* Acting as a Cover Supervisor, managing whole classes during short-term teacher absences in Milton Keynes.

* Delivering targeted support through small group and withdrawal group interventions.

* Leading a team of Assistant Teachers, supporting their professional growth and training.

* Collaborating closely with teaching staff to assist throughout the planning cycle and in preparing classroom resources.

* Supporting the delivery of the national curriculum, and contributing to the development of pupils, support staff, and Academy policies.

* Working with pupils with a range of needs, including SEN and EAL, to promote achievement and independent learning.

In this Senior Teaching Assistant role, you will work within a structured teaching framework, provide detailed lesson and behaviour feedback, support learner motivation, and encourage inclusion in line with the Academy's values. You'll also monitor pupil progress, assist with assessments, and attend parent meetings as part of the wider teaching team in Milton Keynes.

As a senior member of staff, you will take on mentoring responsibilities, guide Assistant Teachers, and contribute to staff training and development. You will play a key role in upholding the Academy's ethos by attending meetings, supporting safeguarding practices, and promoting equality of opportunity.
