Senior Planner - Leading Global Real Estate Consultancy
Location: Birmingham - Colmore Square
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting one of the world's leading real estate consultancies to recruit a Senior Planner to join their expanding Planning & Development team in Birmingham. This role sits within the Midlands and Southwest Land Development and Planning team, with direct involvement in shaping planning and development strategies across the region. The Birmingham team is one of four UK planning hubs and plays an integral role in the firm's 100-strong national strategic advisory team.

You'll work closely with Partners and clients, playing a key role in the delivery of complex planning projects across the Midlands and Southwest. Key Responsibilities
* Support and deliver a growth strategy for the Birmingham planning business
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, including major government bodies such as the Ministry of Justice
* Identify and secure new business opportunities
* Work collaboratively with other teams across the UK and globally to offer integrated real estate solutions
* Lead project delivery and support junior team members through coaching and delegation
About You
You're proactive, commercially astute, and passionate about planning. You'll bring:
* Experience in general planning, with technical strength across relevant sectors
* MRTPI qualification and ideally 3+ years' post-qualification experience
* Strong understanding of the Midlands planning landscape
* Excellent communication and report writing skills
* A track record of developing and maintaining client relationships
* Experience delivering high-quality planning advice in a fast-paced consultancy environment
