A well-established and respected planning consultancy on the South Coast is expanding and looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to join their dynamic team in Bournemouth. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of exciting planning projects across the South and South West, with genuine room for progression and autonomy.

The Company

Our client is a boutique planning consultancy known for its high-quality service, commercial insight, and deep-rooted client relationships. With a strong reputation across residential, commercial, leisure, and mixed-use sectors, the team advises on everything from site appraisals through to appeals and expert witness services.

As part of their ongoing growth, they are looking to bring in a Senior Town Planner who can take ownership of projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to the continued success of the business.

The Role

You will:

Manage a varied caseload of planning applications, appeals, and site promotions

*

Provide expert planning advice to developers, landowners, and private clients

*

Prepare detailed planning statements, policy appraisals, and design and access statements

*

Represent clients at appeals, planning committees, and public consultations

*

Support junior colleagues and contribute to business development

About You

To be successful in this role, you will likely have:

*

MRTPI qualification (or be working towards chartership)

*

3-6+ years of town planning experience, ideally in a consultancy or private sector setting

*

A solid understanding of planning policy and development management

*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*

A proactive, client-focused approach

*

A full UK driving licence
