A leading environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Ecologist to join its growing ecology division in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ecology professional to take on a varied role within a successful consultancy delivering environmental advice across residential, commercial, infrastructure, energy and conservation projects. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, taking ownership of projects while helping to shape the continued growth of the ecology department.

The role:

* Lead ecological surveys, site inspections and habitat assessments

* Produce technical reports, impact assessments and mitigation strategies

* Manage projects from quotation through to successful completion

* Build strong relationships with clients, planners and external stakeholders

* Support, mentor and review the work of junior ecologists

* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high technical standard

Requirements:

* Significant experience within ecological consultancy

* Proven ability to manage multiple ecological projects simultaneously

* Strong technical report writing and communication skills

* CIEEM membership, with chartered status or protected species licences desirable

* Comprehensive knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy

* Full UK driving licence

* Full right to work in the UK

* Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Cambridge office

* Willingness to travel for site work and client meetings as required
