Job Title: Shift Engineer
Location: Watford
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Shift Engineerto lead the engineering operations at a high-performance Critical Environment located in Watford. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a critical environment, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of complex systems while leading a team of skilled engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and critical systems within the data centre.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and site-specific procedures.
- Electrical fault finding and repairs.
- Plan and execute maintenance schedules for critical systems, minimizing downtime.
- Identify and implement improvements in operational processes and energy efficiency.
Requirements:
- Ideal experience in data centre engineering or a critical environment.
- LV/HV AP experience preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (e.g., UPS, HVAC, BMS, generators).
- Experience leading and managing teams in a high-pressure environment.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols in a critical setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
