About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Speech and Language Therapist (Band 5/6) to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team in a specialist independent SEN school in Fulham.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated clinician with a genuine interest in supporting children and young people aged Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 5 (Years 7-19) across two school sites. Our pupils present with a range learning differences like dyslexia and dyscalculia.

You will play a key role in developing pupils' communication, interaction, and functional life skills, enabling them to access meaningful learning, develop independence, and prepare for adulthood.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver comprehensive communication assessments and evidence-based interventions

* Support pupils with Speech, Communication and Language Needs (SCLN), including complex communication profiles

* Produce high-quality clinical reports for Annual Reviews and EHCP processes

* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (including Occupational Therapists, teachers and support staff) across both sites

* Embed therapy targets into the curriculum through a whole-school, total communication approach

* Support the development and implementation of AAC strategies across the school

* Lead training, workshops, and coaching to upskill staff in specialist communication approaches

* Support pupils' communication development in functional, vocational, and community contexts (particularly for older learners)

* Work in partnership with families to promote consistency and communication development at home

* Contribute to maintaining a communication-rich, inclusive learning environment

Who We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be:

* Experienced in working within a school or specialist SEN setting

* Passionate about supporting children and young people with complex needs across a wide age range

* Empathetic, enthusiastic, and committed to improving long-term outcomes, including independence and preparation for adulthood

* A creative and adaptable clinician able to tailor interventions across developmental stages

* An excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with pupils, families, and professionals

* Organised and confident managing a caseload across two sites

* Flexible and resilient, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

* Fully aligned with a holistic, child-centred ethos

Essential Requirements

* Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy

* Current HCPC registration

* Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)

* Experience supporting children and/or young people with autism, severe learning difficulties, or additional needs

* Strong understanding of Total Communication approaches and AAC

* Experience contributing to EHCPs and multidisciplinary reviews

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

If you are a committed Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact across a dynamic, multi-site SEN provision, we would love to hear from you.
