Structural Engineer

Exeter | Structural Engineering Consultancy | Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Benefits

A well-established structural engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a Structural Engineer with 3+ years' experience to join their growing team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of small to medium-sized residential and commercial projects, gaining responsibility within a supportive and collaborative environment.

You will play a key role in the design and delivery of structural solutions from concept through to construction, working closely with architects, developers, and other consultants.

The Structural Engineer role;

As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in the structural design and analysis of a range of building projects, contributing to high-quality engineering solutions and supporting project delivery across multiple schemes.

Key Responsibilities of this Structural Engineer role;

* Design and analysis of structural elements in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.

* Preparation of structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports.

* Working on residential and commercial developments, including refurbishments and new builds.

* Liaising with architects, clients, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

* Assisting with site inspections and providing technical support during construction.

* Collaborating with senior engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget.

About You

* Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering.

* 3+ years' experience within a structural engineering consultancy.

* Experience working on residential and/or commercial building projects.

* Good understanding of structural design principles and UK design standards.

* Experience using industry software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, or similar is beneficial.

* Working towards Chartered Engineer status (ICE or IStructE) is desirable.

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
