SALARY: £27,000 to £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Benefits

LOCATION: Covering the Greater Manchester area

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract until September 2027

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Support Worker Team Leader.

As a Support Worker Team Leader you will lead, motivate and develop a team delivering high-quality, person-centred support while ensuring contractual performance, safeguarding and operational excellence.

Working closely with senior management and partner organisations, the Support Worker Team Leader will help drive continuous improvement, develop strong stakeholder relationships and support positive outcomes for the people receiving the service.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Support Worker Team Leader include:

• Lead Service Delivery: Support the successful operational delivery of the service while maintaining high-quality standards

• Manage Employees: Provide effective line management, coaching, supervision and performance support to the team

• Develop Partnerships: Build positive working relationships with partner agencies and external stakeholders

• Monitor Performance: Ensure contractual targets, KPIs and compliance requirements are achieved

• Promote Best Practice: Encourage person-centred approaches and continuous professional development across the team

• Support Operational Planning: Assist with implementing operational plans and service improvements

• Maintain Compliance: Ensure policies, procedures and safeguarding responsibilities are consistently followed

• Prepare Reports: Contribute to operational reporting and performance monitoring as required

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

• Previous experience leading, supervising and motivating employees and/or volunteers

• Experience building effective working relationships with partner organisations

• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to coach, influence and develop high-performing teams

• Ability to prioritise workloads, delegate effectively and meet deadlines

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience using databases and management systems

• Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults and maintaining professional standards

• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and willingness to travel across Greater Manchester

DESIRABLE

• Previous experience within criminal justice, homelessness, substance misuse, mental health or related support services

• Personal lived experience, or experience supporting someone affected by offending, addiction, homelessness or mental health challenges

• Knowledge of project management principles

• Experience interpreting and analysing performance information

• Ability to contribute to service development and continuous improvement
