The Role of Tanker Technician

As a Tanker Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing tanker trailers, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and ready for operation.

Duties of the Tanker Technician

 

- Carry out routine inspections, servicing and repairs on tanker trailers.

- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping systems.

- Perform preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime.

- Complete repairs to a high standard, ensuring all work meets DVSA and company compliance requirements.

- Accurately complete workshop documentation and job records.

- Work closely with the workshop team to deliver an efficient and high-quality service.

- Follow all health and safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements of the Tanker Technician

 

- Previous experience working as a Tanker Technician, HGV Technician, Trailer Technician or within a similar mechanical role.

- Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping systems is highly desirable.

- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- A positive attitude with a proactive approach to work.

- Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
